What is MKFanatic?
MKfanatic.net is a site for those of use with a wee bit too much Mortal Kombat obsession. Rather than focusing on MK news (which is dying off after MK Armageddon anyway), we choose to focus on the Mortal Kombat Kommunity and the fans.
Who is Kali?
I am your admin and the voice of MKFanatic. I am a twenty-something female living in urban USA. I’ve been a fan of Mortal Kombat since my first play on the SNES all those years ago and my love continues to this day. I’m partial to the Lin Kuei clan, but I try not to play favorites too badly.
History
This site was born in its original incarnation back in August 2003. It was originally hosted on my personal domain, and its purpose was to host the new MKTE pictures. (I had the first pictures of Sareena’s, Noobs, and Sektor’s endings and fatalities… so there :P).
The second real incarnation of the site came around May 2004. This is when rated-mk.com was obtained and set up to host the “adult” stuff, but unfortunately the domain is down again. This incarnation of MKFanatic also contained a message board and had an active community.
The third incarnation of MKFanatic was just the MKF network, including our fanlistings, image galleries and fanwork sections.
Finally, we have the blog you see here. While not the fanciest of setups, it serves its purpose.
